My first two bags ever
So I recently entered into the foray of bag making.
This first one was a test run almost. I made this with my sister so she could show me how to do it cos at first I thought it was completely mind-boggling.
Ive been using this one for everyday use. Everyone in my work has been commenting on it because the fabric is from there so they all know it is handmade, lol. :)

This second bag I have made for my best friend in Canada. I made this one really big so she could use it for books etc for going to class. I really like this fabric and I made her this bag as I had already made her a laptop cosy with the same material. I kinda improvised with this one... instead of using exact measurements for the straps etc I just kinda went with it and did it by eye etc. It feels really sturdy and I think it looks good.
The lining is a tad :-S because I used a pillowcase and the original stitcing on that was a bit shoddy. Needless to say I wont be using that idea again lol.

Im gonna recreate the second one for myself, but the lining is going to be made with PVC so it is reversible and waterproof... kinda like for the beach or for walking about Glasgow :-p
That blue fabric cost me a £5 for 15 metres in the Christmas sale, so that is my major bargain :)
You should... they also have a basket of £1.99 fabric remnants and some of them are actually alright...then you have other specials where things are like £1.99 a metre and stuff.
There is mine in Uddingston which is huge and there is one in Clydebank, which is smaller than ours but Ive never been so I dont know what is is actually like.
xxx
But there really good especially the second one, cool well done.
